Is it real?! Many visitors are very surprised to learn that these faux metal logs are not real at all. Metal sticks and pine cones are added as well to create a more realistic setting. Cut, shaped and welded by hand, these fire pits are built to last in extreme conditions. They are continuously faced with harsh weather, from below 0 degrees in the snow to up to 800 degrees when running. There is a total of 12 fire pits at the Northstar California Resort.
